Quicksilver Aircraft

Quicksilver produces Ultralight, Ultralight type, Light Sport, and Experimental/Amateur Built aircraft kits. As the most commonly used Ultralight training aircraft in America, Quicksilver's light aircraft are recognized for being ideal for recreational flying as well as flight training. Two popular lines of aircraft are produced: the MX series and the GT series. The MX series of aircraft offers the best in open cockpit flying while the GT series offers high performance and partial or full enclosure for cooler climates. Whether you have logged thousands of flight hours in large, fast, and complex aircraft or you are just being introduced to flying, Quicksilver has a model for you. Experience the essence of flying in a Quicksilver.

The GT- 500

The first Sport Airplane in the world to receive FAA certification in the Sportplane class of the Primary category. It is remarkably docile and easy to fly. The dual three-axis controls are responsive without sacrificing low speed stability. The adjustable trim and flaps allow for positive slow flight and gentle stalls at about 39 mph. The GT-500 cruises from 55-80 mph, with a top speed of around 90 mph. Only approximately 140 feet is needed for the take-off roll. A generous useful load capacity (see specifications) can easily accommodate two people and some extra gear.

The MXLII SPORT is for the pilot looking for easy handling and precise control response. Double surface wings and conventional three-axis controls combine to make this an excellent all around aircraft. Recreational pilots like its greater speed range while flight schools are especially fond of its smooth and predictable flight characteristics. The in-flight adjustable trim makes long flights more care free and enjoyable. These are some of the reasons why the MXLII SPORT is the best selling two seat light recreational aircraft in the world. WORLD'S #1 TRAINER.

The SPORT 2S is the latest evolution in Quicksilver's open cockpit design. The Sport 2S development program began with the goal of producing the best side-by-side trainer ever. Featuring strutted wings, wider cockpit, rugged aluminum steerable nosewheel, and larger wheels, the Sport 2S combines the many suggestions and comments of ultralight enthusiasts and professionals with Quicksilver's extensive designing, engineering, and R & D testing to fulfill that goal. Pilots used to the docile and predictable flying qualities of the Quicksilver MX line of ultralight planes will be pleased with the Sport 2S. It provides the solid feel of a strut braced plane with the desirable flying characteristics that have made Quicksilvers so popular.

The MXII SPRINT is ideal for the recreational flyer and flight schools. Its high lift partial double surfaced wings give it an exceptionally short take off roll and predictable handling at very low flight speeds. These characteristics make the MXII SPRINT easier to learn to fly than anything in its class. When equipped with floats, the MXII SPRINT's high lift wing will get you out of the water quicker and landing slower. Like all Quicksilvers, the MXII SPRINT's simple design and bolt together construction make preflight inspection and maintenance a breeze.

The MX SPRINT (single surface wing) is a single seat aircraft that has extremely fast roll response and handles cross winds easily with conventional three axis controls. Yet, it retains the docile and predictable slow flight characteristics that made the original MX famous.

The MX SPORT (double surface wing) is a single seat aircraft that was designed to enhance the envelope of your flying pleasure. Its sleek, shortspan double-surface wing with full-span ailerons and conventional three-axis controls give it a faster roll rate, greater speed range and better crosswind capability.
